Post a picture, you'll be able to tell from the reactions of others.
In my opinion, a straight back, strong colors, normal mouth, normal tail, equals a quality ebjd, I'll take an iPhone pic of mine and you tell me if you think it's quality.

I know you mention quality.... I look at undesirable FEATURES like long streamer on the dorsal and anal fin, the beak nose or bump on the nose. To me the blue is subjective to the eyes of the beholder so that does not in anyway affect the quality of the EBJD.
I'd say he's average quality with a deformed mouth and weaker colors. With a healthy diet and good water quality, he'll improve.
