flowerpower, the snook look fantastic. the wild color form snooks have always been high up on my list of favorite cichlids, it's good to see some people keeping and raising these fish. cant wait to see them grown up.

No real challenge here. They grow fast, eat about anything they can fit in there mouth and are not bloat sensitive. No different than red snooks IME, just better looking. I got 7 2 yrs ago and would up with 3 breeding pairs out of it. Patience though....they dont get awesome colors till over 8" IME. An easy, hardy and cool fish though.
Another tip..try feeding Tetra Jumbo Min, break up pieces for smaller fish. This was like steroids for mine.
