I know for a fact it's illegal to transport live game fish in Wisconsin Minnesota and Illinois and I assume there are similar regulations everywhere. But trash fish and bait fish can be transported live just not rereleased

Actually only bait fish and smaller bullhead/ciscos/shads/goldeyes/mooneyes/suckers can be transported alive as long as they are all under 12". Buffalo/gars/bowfins/carp/larger bullheads/eelpout/whitefish/smelts etc cannot be transported alive.

After that, pay expensive fines, give up your whole collection and put more restrictions on fishkeeping hobby for everyone. Also they do have power to revoke your fishing license and you won't able to fishing legally for few years.
