I assume many of the members here have never seen a live hystrix in person, isnt it cool how "tall" they are from belly to back... .lil tanks.

the prices are not far off from what they were 3 years ago.

I cannot agree with Jon enough on this one.

Hobbyists are lured by the black and white rays and they are missing out on the smaller species that are best suited for life in the average tank.

Histrix max out at 14" in disc diameter. They have unique builds and they are very hardy.

I just checked that website again today and they are now $200.00. It doesn't say if he has any in or how many he has. Guess he must have been barraged with requests for more and figured he could get more for them. Too bad he's probably right. I'm still loving those rays.
