We just got lazy and called anything that looks like them a pleco
Ow, I just got pwned with a fact I actually knew!Actually it's not a pleco, there is only one true pleco the Hypostomus plecostomus .
Actually Loricariidae would be best for all of them but Catfish is not wrongRed Devil;4458212; said:wow never knew that... learned something new today.. so the rest are actually catfish?
i think there are two species ..one grows larger.{but i am not sure}. 16 year life span average is what i have seen listed..very curious now myself.... very confusing too.. i will keep looking.. but yes your fine for a long time in the 125gal if he is like mine.. they grow slow but sure... gee i wish there was more factural information about the adonis instead of so many listed controversy type profiles ...i even found they used my adonis in alot of their pics on the web...lolknifegill;4458258; said:Ow, I just got pwned with a fact I actually knew!
Only a foot, huh? This intrigues me greatly! Here I am, drawing straws on whether to save the molded pond for my LMB or heat it up for the adonis, and we have a captive specimen staying at manageable size! Now I don't know what to think. I wonder if all the beastly pics are 40 year-old wild caught fish. *is stumped* Either way, the 125g will work for a few years, then.
i appreciate your info... now i am on top of it...Warborg;4460213; said:Actually Loricariidae would be best for all of them but Catfish is not wrong
