Hey guys,

I have finally booked my trip to Yucatan for next February. Does anybody of you know a good website/online resource or book that covers the fish species of the peninsula, especially cichlids?
My favourite would be an ipad app, but I think it doesn't exist yet...

There is a book called the Freshwater Fishes of Mexico by Rush (Robert) Miller, think it's available thru Barnes and Noble.
I have the book. It is an excellent book, but not really a field guide - more of a scholarly treatise.

Thanks for the input, guys! I have already found an app on the salt water fish of Mexico by the Audubon Society. The book by Miller et al is surely interesting, but with a price of 60€ I guess it is a little too expensive to carry around in the field... But I definitely have found something I want for Christmas!

In a German webforum somebody showed me another book, Inthought you might like to see it here too: http://www.freshwater-biotopes.org/webshop/showProduct.asp?pid=15
