my fahaka is 6-7" with the tail, i just got an upgrade to a 140G. yes i know that fahakas arnt the best with tank mates but are there any fish out there that anyone can suggest?

im planning on filling it with some nice sand /rocks and plants?

ty all beforehand

There are basicly no fish you can keep with a fahaka, unless you are absolutely sure it's a nice one & you have about a 100-1 chance of that. My friend had a 4" fahaka bite an 8" pleco in half! On the other hand, I have one of the nicesst fahakas I've ever seen & he lives with a lot of fish--some are even not so great swimmers--like elephant noses & ghost knife. I was on vacation last week though & found he had eaten a 10 year old, 6" Bosemani rainbow that he had been living with for the past 3 years.

Aren't they pretty evil? It might not tolerate anything.

i had one... cool fish but I wouldn't keep anything with it.. it's a killer; although one of our members I cant remember who; got a fahaka with a ray, and some other stuff as well... personally I would keep it by itself.

I had decent luck with convicts and giant danios. The cons are smart enough to stay out of the way, and danios are super fast.

I had a nearly fully grown one a few years back which lived with tetras - too small to be counted as food by the puffer.

I tried a school of neons--they were gone in a week. Tried a school of tiger barbs--grew pretty large but all gone within 6 months.

got mine w/ 3 tf barbs, brown knife, 2 plecos, stripped rapheal cat, think thats it they all keep their distance except the knife, it can eat off the same food w/o issue. they even share a housse:nilly: all in 125 wide so there is plenty of room to RUN!
