i got a new 140G tank, possible tank mates with a fahaka

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's the 1 in 100 fahaka I was talking about. Has he ever bitten any of your fish? Mine likes to give everyone a "welcome" bite to new tank mates--usually on the tail.

thanks for the help everyone, i love my fahaka but it looks so small in comparison to the tank, part of me wants to take the risk of trying tank mates but the consequence may not be worth it.

also , im able to hand feed mine every day with shrimp, snails , etc with various seafood. is this normal ? or is he one of the 1-100 nice ones.

i can hand feed mine all day, but i prefer to not loose chunks of my fingers so i just drop the food in.

I only know stories of the fish but can they be house with another Fahaka's? if so that might be a way to go but something tells me that they dont like their own kind...

Absolutely not! That's 1 thing I'd never try with my fahaka is another puffer.

It doesn't matter--if the puffer's a killer, he's a killer.

Puffer experts wonder how they mate in the wild w/o killing each other.
