im building a pond after i move in a year for rays for cost reasons im gonna put my skills to use tho and im gonna do masonary and install a window i think havent figured it out but cost is the reason for my ray pond in the future

i never thought of using tile that gives me a whole new idea. that dog rocks i love bull terriers
I ended up going down the tile route because I already have fish in the room & didn't want to risk the fumes that you get from fibre glass/epoxy coatings that you can use instead.

I thought about using a liner but didn't want to risk the rays puncturing it with their stings or one of my plecs chewing through it.
If you go down the tile route make sure that you use porcelain tiles, they offer the best water resistance. The tiles are fairly cheap but the water proof adhesive is expensive.
