Do you have any pics of this kind ? Or do you know where any of these can be found ? I obviously am somewhat of an amateur, even though I have had silvers before, and I have never heard of these. I was given a silver as a gift, and I thought they were the only ones that I would ever see, until I found this website.

This is an extremely red Arapaima, however, this fish is not for the above average aquarist. They grow to lengths of over 14', so be ready with an olympic sized pool.

Asian aros are listed by cites appendix I, and the US does not allow the importation of cites apoendix I animals. Heres a link of what is listed by cites. Even outside the US you must have documentation and the matching microchipped arowana.

Type in arowana into the forum search, or in google images search and you will come up with several arowanas. There are 10 different species of arowana currently identified.
