I have heard many good things about this product. Supposedly it has many off label uses, such as water conditioner, apparently it removes chlorine and chloramine, but I have no evidence of this. I use it every time I add fish, or start a tank. It is actually labeled as a disease preventative. The bottle claims to be a great cure and preventative for Ich, closed fins, body fungus, velvet, and other parasites. It is not to be used with most inverts, including Snails, Shrimp, Crayfish, Lobsters, or Amphibians. Give it a try, I have used it for Ich and as a disease preventative, it is cheap, and I think it is worth the money.

There should be a "Ban Me" smilie! Besides, it's a "forum". You are supposed to carry on a conversation, otherwise it's a bulletin board.

who makes this stuff? i never heard of it..do you have a link?

Does not damage bio filtration as far as I can tell, it's made by Aquarium Products, AP.
