Any of you guys love/play soccer or going to watch the World Cup this upcoming month?
I wanna know what countries do you guys think will make to the quart Finals!
and just in case you guys didnt know US is in the World Cup too( how did that happened?:confused: :confused: )
 
aye yes, the World Cup. The second largest sporting event in the world only behind the Olympics. :). Football truley is the greatest sport in the world. The Ivory Coast, an african nation basically being ravaged by civil war is going through a time of peace just so that the entire nation can be united for the world cup. You know a sport has a great influence when it has the power to stop a war :eek:. The funniest thing to me is hearing all the people in the U.S. say the SUPER BOWL is the worlds largest event, :ROFL:. The tour de france is watched by more people worldwide than the super bowl. ;)

Um... Wasn't the World Cup the largest sporting event in the world? That's what I heard from the media as well as FIFA.
 
It may be, however, I always thought it went in this order, but I'll have to check

1. Olympics
2. World Cup
3. Tour de France



500. Anything related to volleyball
 
world cup should be awesome, even though sven is a complete FOOL. i cant wait until he leaves! duno who will make it, but we've got a 50 quid pot, and we all get 2 bottom half ranking teams, and two top. ive got spain, japan and switzerland and ecuador. looks like i'll be outta pocket
 
yeah, i'd say your **** out of luck. England, and no offense, but theyre a bit overrated, and without rooney, I'm not sure they have the team to make it to the finals. :(. Big fan though. Hope you lose to Portugal if we happen to meet again :)
 
oh, and before people come on here praising Brazil. Screw that and you :D

I am looking to get on an Amateur League team this summer. I like playing, hate watching.
 
dont get me started on that game. or deco. i agree with you, england will probably not to very well, due to the fact that he is taking 2 cripples. owens not fully recovered and rooney has a broken foot. then hes taking walcott. i love arsenal and all, but hes 17 and never played first league football. SVEN has never even seen him play. what a prune
