I want a male and female. But if I could get leos for cheap I would. Do any of the mortos stay smaller like the chainlinks or anything?

Scobinas are a small ray species that come from specific tributaries in Brazil.
They are currently on the banned list with all other rays out of Brazil. There are a few people in Western Europre breeding them. You will not have any luck finding them in the states.
Your best bet is to get yourself a trio of histrix.
You should be able to hunt some down in some of the Chicago fish stores. I picked up a large female last summer at Scott's in Westchester. He has had more in since. I have not seen any histrix with our online retailers in at least one year.
They are out there......you may just have to dig around a bit. They max out at 14" and everyone that I have been in contact with has a great personality. I am currently keeping 4 adults (just lost a female) and they are my favorite rays.

thanks colin if you come across a histrix could you let me know. that is if you dont want it. if your rays ever have pups i will take one for sure. i will check around the chicago stores. im looking for small ones if i can find them.
Colin's histrix are awsome, I have seen them in person. I could find some I would get them in a heartbeat. I may even get rid of my pair of motoros, that is if can find a nice pair, in the future. They have good pesonalitys and his are really active.
