Friends kids + rare fish - Supervision = dead fish

This thread is so sad it's almost hilarious. Sorry to hear about the lost fish. That always sucks. But I think the lynch mob assembling to take out the kids is retarded. THEY ARE KIDS. What the hell do you expect them to do? If you want to see someones head on a stake, take out the mother. It's her fault that her kids are dumb enough to feed gummy worms to a fish. It's her fault that her kids have no respect for other peoples property. It's her fault that her children will most likely end up working in the fast food industry for their adult lives. Place the blame where it belongs. When I was a kid, if my parents took me somewhere and I was anything less than 1000% polite and well mannered, once we got to the car they played a hand solo on my ass. Guess what? I turned out to be very respectful and mindful of other people and their belongings. It's not rocket science. Where there is a stupid child you will always, ALWAYS, find a stupid parent.

USMC you have my respect, I grew up in the sandbox(Dhahran) and it's one hell of a place. Closest thing to hell on earth I've seen, but you're right, the people (few exceptions) there are so kind. Think you all have high expectations of kids , but they just do things that kids do like we did. May be some of us grew up thinking a kicking works and go on kicking kids and women probably (nowt wrong with a friday night fight in the name of fun , bonding or to settle a problem when someone hasnt got any comunication skills ,if the other person is a bloke and an even match) sounds like a lot of members could do with a stretch in the forces .There should be consequences for bad behaviour but I hope the kids had it explained to them apropriately about the issues around their actions in a way which they understood from one of the adults there. Deliberate cruelty to animals in young people often reflects abuse from adults (neglect ,emotional ect ect. not saying anyones a child abuser here )it is a traite of allot of serious offenders .Are the people calling out for the kids heads the one eating fish and making videos of fish suffering !
Just my opinion , gets me into a bit of bother at times but I wont back down to any bullies.
Sorry about the death of the fish but it sounds like there was no intent there.
While I 'm on my high horse Knives and guns for them little avatar pictures ! I get jealous of the guns ,lucky gits. But howay 'Knives' S*!$ carry knives !.
This should be a little bit more of a family site.
