Thx, they love to hide eh, but one of them will already come out and greet me. With all of the silver fish constantly begging for food the dats should come out of their shell quickly.

TARPONS!!!

Are those mahseers the giant cyprinids from India? This is the first time I've seen pics of small ones. What are they like? quick? active? pigs? fast growers?

Yes, the one in the picture with the arapaima is possibly Tor mussullah
(humpback mahseer). I have another one that is hard to identify at this time but it is a different sp. They are pretty mellow not as voracious as the tarpon but still good eaters(granules, smelt, shrimp, tilapia, etc....). No aggression except when they were first introduced the hampalas had to test them, but the mahseer quickly put the hampalas in their place.

Thx sqratch, if he makes it(he is pretty emaciated)......he will stay in the 180 until approx 2ft then he will go to mahseer to house in his 400g. After that we will see.

Should put him in a smaller tank so you can monitor him closely... pump him up with feeders and worms. It's an awesome fish that'd be a shame to lose.
