I used the search function, but found nothing of use.

SO, what food is best, what is the max size (Hope they are monster) and can I keep it with some decent sized clown loaches? Any info you have would be appreciated, my books are very basic, just like the kids who sat in front of the bus and ate paste.

If you consider between 4 and 6" monster than you're in luck!!! For food I feed mine mostly Omega One shrimp pellets but also bloodworms, flakes, earthworms, shrimp and whatever the oscars shoot out of their gills. They prefer to be in groups but I have kept mine with only one other pimelodid and it's not even the same species, though close enough and they sometimes squabble. I think they should be fine with your loaches, they are generally peacefull towards fish they cannot swallow but some individuals are known to be aggresive, more so if they are kept alone.

This one is definitely not aggresive, but I cant say who ate the deformed neon I threw in the tank, LOL. It leaves the barbs alone. Should I get another one? The last person had it with a molly, some glassfish, a big angel, a hatchetfish, and some gouramies. Tank is 40 gal.

I have one in with all of my loaches and I don't think he ever bothers them. He kind of does his own thing during the day and owns the tanks as soon as the lights go out. He is all over the tank with my bgk.

Mine will eat anything...flake food, frozen shrimp or blood worms, and shrimp pellets.

You could get more if you wanted, they are more active and look better in a school but it's not vital they be in one.

You just have one as well? Rally says you have a school of clown loaches that rivals the population of HONG KONG! He says I need to see that when I come down to Indiana.

My 5/6 inch pictus is aggressive, he holds his own with a JD, oscar, loisellei, 1 foot clarias and papyrocranus afer. Bullies bichirs and shovelnose.

I also saw a silver tipped shark (Arius Jordani) that I would like to add to the tank...Any advice? I understand it gets to 24". How long to get there what tankmates in the meanwhile? I have available space right now, and am working on a 125 for monsters that grow out.

Mine is 3" and has no problems with much larger tankmates so far.
