Festae love...male has taken a thrashing after spawn.

Hahahaha...normally its the male that beats up on the female!! Kewl beans!! She wears the pants eh!! You should watch the jag though, he has a very high chance of gettin owned...
NIce Festaes. How long have you had them? What is their growth rate like per month in your experience?
I've had the female since October 2005. She was about 2.5" TL. She is now almost 5". The F0 male was purchased from Rapps at 4" TL a few months ago. He is now almost 6" and getting very thick.
These festaes are growing painfully slow. I feed them Hikari Biogold, Hikari Gold (koi food), and freeze dried krill once in a while.
Thanks for the info. I have a male festae, I like it a lot but it's growing painfully slow. It eats a lot too, hikari sticks, shrimp pellets, cockles, prawns etc, but it's been outgrown by all my other fish and I'm worried about it getting munched.
