haha. My wife and I were going to move to NY to start her clothing line, but figured a couple of southerners wouldn't make it too well up there. Plus it seems like it's always raining. What's that all about?

lol there are millions of small boutiques in New York. competition is fierce.

I think it's easier to break into the market if you work for a famous designer.

organizing even a small fashion show to display your own clothes costs a lot of money.

and it's hard to get publicity that attracts a broad audience.

as for the rain... at least it's not as bad as Britain. lol

I think driving is more of a problem than weather in New York.

ah. I went to NYC about 2 years ago. Got to see the singing cowboy and all that jazz. I just don't think that place is my style.

it's funny, because people don't always get to see all of New York.

they run into one thing and think that's all.

I can literally run into a completely different neighborhood within 1 city block. I can be in the shopping district and the next thing I know, I'm in a smelly fish market in Chinatown.

it fascinates me and keeps me going. but since I don't live there, New York is always a place that I wanted to stay. perhaps I'd be on a completely different stance once I'm there... which will be the end of this summer.
