Dovii Vs Rhom revisited

Timpon and Honda, the dovii went into it's own tank after that. The guy said he had a divider ready in case things got nasty, neither fish got severely hurt or killed.

He wasn't doing it just to see a fight, he took the dovii cheap and tried it as a tankmate, when it didn't work he gave it to his friend. So I don't think there's anything wrong with the video, the worst that happened was the dovii got his tail bitten in half.
 
Yeah I read it and I know what happend. I just don't like the fact that he even put the dovii in the tank. You can guess what would happen with out even trying it. I guess I just don't like the fact the the dovii had to get bit when there was really no need to try it in the first place, thats all.

Yeah, I read his story.....to me it just seemed a bit sussed that he would have camera ready to film the 'introduction'. Doviis and rhoms are supposedly badass' (for want of a better word) by reputation, I think this guy wanted to film a fight

If I'm wrong, I apologise, if not, then he's an idiot. That dovii was beautiful.

I seriously didn't see any way that that dovii got owned at all! He wasn't even really going after the other fish. I've had them for years and believe me anyone who owns them and has seen one go postal will tell you that that was not it. It was a little scuffle AT MOST. He barely even reacted to getting bit and didn't cower at all. Let's be real. The personality has as much to do with who wins in a death match beteen fish. Also territory and having a mate play into it too. Then there is raw power and tools when it comes to who wins in a fight. Hands down dovii have the "equipment", size and jaw strength to shred one of them fish if it wanted. Now that being said I will admit that my last and by far favorite wolf of all time was a 20" woosy that got punked down by my elderly Jag all it's life. But that was his personality. It happens. There is no clear winner whenever these kind of discussions happen. To this day the meanest baddest sickest killer I ever had was a Myan (false red terror). He was such an a-hole that I almost snapped his spine myself. I got ris of him but I swear to god I hated him so much it wasn't even funny. My second most viscous killer was a jag-but i've raised probably 20 jags to full grown status and he was the only crazy one. Ya just never know. I even had a red terror in my 800 with all HUGE fish and he killed a snakehead 10" bigger than him and a month later got beat up by my alpha-male redhead who was the same size as him. Again. ya just never know. I personally hate when fish fight and always try and avoid it at all costs.

I worry about when these discussions go on because we know there are people who set fish up to get hurt and it just doesn't seem right to me.

Okay, I'll shut up.

PS: they are two nice fish in that video. I hope they both ended up alone and happy lol.
 
OUCH!!! shoulda divided the tank 1st & gave the dovii a week or 2 to acclimate 1st:D then open the gate. but in all seriousness, it would been ugly, for the dovii. big razor sharp teeth vs tiny itty bitty canines.;)
 
But kevin, is that not pointless and empty talk without a video? ;)

It would be cool if it was true, I have a little red terror that I love. I want him to grow into a monster. The festae and the loisellei are probably my 2 favourites right now.
