i've been puttin spectrum wafers, and brine shrimp pellets in the tank for him and the other common pleco and my spotted rapheal cat. do thikn this is enough or should i put some shrip in there or what?
 
I would offer cucumber or zucchini for them. The more variety you have in their diet the less likely they are to have digestive problems. Also use potatoes, sweet potatoes, apples, mangos, kiwi, blanched cabbage, peas, green beans, beefheart, and/or bloodworms. The options are pretty long.

but seriously ... I heard too much potato can deplete the oxygen levels
or is it something else ?

also, should you use cooked or raw foods ?as uncooked zuchini can give the little dudes a stomache ache
I just boil zuchini for a minute in microwave then freeze
