Does anyone have any info on the spotted ratfish that has experience with them, I have checked google but not much info that I need. How big of a tank do they need and feeding habits. Thanks for any help. Oh and prices please.

( Hydrolagus collei) Never kept one but caught many. They are fully marine, have strong jaws and are scavangers and predators on inverts and small fish. They required cold water and get to about 39" but are very flexible and it is mostle thin tail so a couple adults would work in a chilled 350g. thet have a venomous spine that gives a wound worse than most catfishes and tends to get infected. When fishing they are bait stealing pains in the butt and have a nasty, oily aftertaste.

pretty fish, saltwater is so much more impressive than freshwater

Thats a cool fish. You should get one TankBuster.

How cold does the water need to be? 68 to 70?
LOL, no, their average habitat temperature is about 46-48 F, they have been encountered is water at 36 F and survived for 2 weeks at 58 F in the Brussels Aquarium.
