I put a big 'ol clay pot in my 55 and now the water is turning orange. Will this eventually stop or will my water stay orange?

What kind of clay pot was it? And what did it have in it before you put it in your tank? I have never had this happen...

I wouldn't take chances, take out the pot, check your water (ph etc.) and do a partial water change, color won't go away, it's a pollutent/particulate in the water. Wash pot in a bucket several times, if color still comes out, plant a flower (bog plant?) in it and get another pot ( of a different kind ). This could be a great excuse to build a pond ( like I need another excuse).:grinyes:

Anything in the tank that's objectionable can be classified as a pollutant.

Just ask your fish about your hands
