Me, my bro and my moms drove over to the lfs today just to look cuz we were gonna be around there anyway.........so we start checkin everything out and my brother starts askin if we can get a bigger tank now (cuz i'm gettin one next month) of course we couldn't but instead my mom says we can get whatever fish we want as long as it is a baby( so we can keep it in our 55 gal) and her and my dad will get a tank big enough next month.........me and my bro looked like kids in a candy store right after she said it...........he instantly gets the silver aro hes been dying to have and it took me a while to decide.....i was almost got a flowerhorn but ended getting a redtail cat....i told my parents how big they get and they were still cool with it....so we basically got two fish that are gonna get huge:headbang2 ...........so today was a great day..............sorry about braggin..........

rtc was a better descision that a flowerhorn imo. although, you have to make sure all tankmates are large with them, which some people see as a downside

yea because it was one of those flowerhorns everone calls like generic like the ones you see all over and it was $120.........yea everything will be big because my dad has two pacus that he's in love with so it it'll work out cool...........
 
Sounds like you did have a good day. I always like getting fish you don't have to pay for, especially when you can pick them out.
 
how old are you? haven't seen many fishkeepers around my age(14)
 
You are one lucky kid. My parents would never do that for me. They say I have to support my own addiction. Haha. Oh yea and I think there are alot of fishkeepers around here your age. I'm 15.

yea theres a lot of fishkeepers around our age.......i'll be 16 next month and my bro will be 14............
 
Oh yea you might wanna watch that RTC with that aro. Aros aren't the bulkiest fish and RTC have huge mouths. But your gunna have yourself one heck of a tank in a month or whenever you are getting your new tank.

yea i know i was second guessing putting in the same tank intially but the aro is a inch and a half longer then the RTC so i'm figuring it'll work out ok...........
 
It should then but just beware cuz RTC grow like crazy. IDK about aros though.
