Guess what kind of Reptile

i'd blur out the name guppy before i take advantage, although he is quite well known. guess his books on lizards would be useful! also is there any clue as in old and new world?

Mr. Vitt's name just narrows it down to several hundred lizards, heheh.

Easy one, that is a Xenosaurus grandis, though the picture (by Eric smith) is labelled X. rackmani. Rackmani is not a recognised species yet, just the Guatamalan subspecies.

How about a snake next?
