I would also do the same. I was looking at two level homes and none of the sales people showing me the houses knew the load I could put in the second level. They all had to call the engineers of the homes and they all said pretty much the same thing, "Anything over 750lbs per square foot is not recommended. Say hello "30" gallon.
sorry to hear that... but when i had my apartment which was a 1977 built one, and i live in the second floor. the only tank i had was my 29 gal eclipse that was given to me. that's it. i don't want to take a risk. better safe than sorry. now i can have as big as i want just be patient. somethings we just need to wait and have.
