I dunno about being fat. He wouldn't eat for a few weeks after we got here...now hes munchin down on his algae wafers, but thats about it...bugga it all. On his bottom carapace though, towards the rear it looks sunken in...is this normal? Gender related? It almost reminds me of a sunken stomach, but its bone/shell...so i don't think its that.

Okay! I've seen that a Walmart and stuff like that before!! Nice!! The tanks are in a sunroom, a moderate amount of light hits the tanks every day, so that might be enough. Wanting to get lights here soon though...so should be alright! Thanks again DM!
Since he's been in the new tank, hes been rather camera shy...haha....sneak up on him when he is sleepin but he gets pissed and swims away when he discovers I'm lookin at him...haha...i'll have to take him out later and get pictures.

I had him in a 125gal when i still lived in Nebraska, but I wasn't able to bring my large tanks with me. Waiting for a little $$$ then I am gonna start gettin larger tanks. This is TOTALLY only temp...haha. Probably set up a 150gal just for him, maybe a few other fish...haha very nice setups! but i din get the amazonia connection, are some of those tanks gonna be converted into amazon setups?
Partially, yes. Part of the reason is i couldn't really think of anything else to name it and that sounded kewl. Most of the fish I am puttin into them are SA cichlids, a few of them are CA cichlids. SOoooo the theme is SA/CA cichlids. Not much I can do with these two tanks because they are relatively small, but they are incorporated into a much larger plan. When i get the larger tanks gonna stock them with TONS of DW....SA native plants, varius things. Gonna try to make it look like blackwater to a certain extent....so yeah, i guess you could say I'm gonna do an amazon biotope!
When I saw the title I thought you were planning an armed raid in south america to collect fish
