I am leaning towards small gravel and river rock. I like the sand, but it gets all over in the filters and is hard to get out of the tank when moving. I don't want to put that much decor such as large rocks or plants because I want as much room as possible for the big fish that are going in. Probably just some pieces of driftwood.

Good Idea, Ive never done sand for the same reasons, Plus I like the look of small gravel (Im going to suggest Natural mixed with black).

I have some widebar dats, nile perch, chinese perch, baramundi, tarpon, rays, and a couple large catfish. I will probably put a pima and aro in there too.

looks like a great list of fish, cant wait till there all in there.

how big is the chinese perch, and when can we see pix?!

No, the tank is still being cycled so I don't want to overstock it. Two more weeks and it will be fully stocked. I will post a bunch of photo's then. My gar is still alive, but not eating yet. :( He can barely swim. I feel really bad for the guy. If he starts to eat, then he will make it. If he doesn't start to eat within a week, then I will put him down.

your gunna need more that 2 weeks buddy

after 2 weeks start adding a fish every week

you add em all at once and your tank will go to hell.

and give the gar more than a week, he's a big boy, he'll manage.
