Damn are they flatheads?

Man they are one very tasty fish! Never knew they were kept in aquariums either or as a freshwater specie.

I would assume they would just stay still on the sandy bottom waiting for prey as this is how they are here in Aus

Well it looks like the "lizardfish" in this hobby is the same species of flathead found in northern Australia(strictly SW) but other species of "lizardfish" can be found literally anywhere(SW) in australia. I'm guessing they have been acclimatized to FW or bred into freshwater? Anyone have any info?

hm mine doing great in fresh if he starts to go i acclimat him to salt.

oh i see u have a archerfish from impossible creatures as your avatar that games awesome even though i had it for a couple years

sorry for spammin up your thread mate, probably should of started a new thread to get more info on "lizardfish". Whether it's SW/FW or the same species or not, congrats, their an awesome fish!

didn't even know where my avatar pic was from :ROFL: i just googled it and got it cause its cool:thumbsup:
