what's your worst purchase

my worst purchase was a green spotted puffer. I had it in the aquarium for about a week and everything seemed fine. Then i started noticing that some of the fish were missing eyes so one day i was watching the fish for like an hour and i saw the damn puffer bite the eye off one of my plecos. soon all 10 of my fish were dead and i ended up with one fish. It killed everything including an australian arowana. I had a separate tank with a huge pacu and i fed the puffer to it and the pacu ate it and almost immediately flipped over and floated to the bottom and the puffer swam out of its mouth. This was stupid but at the time i didn't know the puffer could do that.

Holy Sh*t. That is one bad ass puffer....

Mine would probably be 3 black neons, 3 blue neons, 4 fancy guppies, 2 oranda goldfish, 2 angelfish, and 1 pleco..............................................

All stuffed into a 10 gallon tank......................

The same day i filled up the tank w/ tap water...................

Without any kind of water conditioner............

Needless to say, this was my first go at fishkeeping.

My worst purchase was an african stonefish. When I first started out in africans I was ill advised by a petshop employee that a stonefish was a bottom feeder. I assumed it ate food that fell to the bottom. Unbeknownst to me at the time I happily brought it home and woke up the next morning to find half my africans missing. Thinking they got sucked up into the filter I solemly took it apart to find nothing. The stonefish had sucked up half of them during the night. Unbeknownst to him, he made a hasty retreat back to the lfs!!

my worst was a tiger shovelnose i bought form a local guy. thought i had the room for him in my tank, get him home and wow...that guy was waaaaay to big for the tank he was going on. i had in there for a while then decided it just wasnt fair to him. so i traded him and got a silver aro, 3 green terrors and a pike cichlid for em. so it ended up working out ok. haha

Indecision, thats my worst . 35 neons 10 bleeding hearts, 25 glowlightsm 20 otocinclus. Was going to do discus. Found out about Pikes, bought a Johanna. $10 Pike got about $160 worth of tropical delight.....

On the bright side, didn't spend the 500 on discus.......

Got an Xbox 360 instead...

I bought a chinchilla for my GF for valentines 2 yrs ago. I kicked her out 1 year ago and of course, I was forced to take "Fred" . The little bastard throws wood chips everywhere and my LMB won't eat him.

I wish I lived close by I would love to take it off your hands.
