Yah they are dull when they are small. Here are sum pix of mine at 3inchs and now(8inchs)

I fed him feeders till he was about 6inch(only thing the bugger would eat) then he just started trying blood worms and now he eats anything(but pellets) the hits the tank. He will go after my finger if i put it in there. Im afriad to put my hand in cuz he watches the top waiting for food and hes so fast he doesnt look b4 he eats it

Arlo, it's still too small to see or tell... just be patient and do what everybody else is already saying... feed a VARIED diet!

My orino was also drab in color when i first got it, but later on... it had the most vibrant colors i've ever seen on a fish... crazy garfield orange, glowing blue sheen, shining sunshine yellow, flouracent neon green, etc.!! :grinyes: Your orino will soon blossom enough, you'll see!! ;)

Right now he's chowing down on guppies/minnows and bloodworms. At what size should I begin to give him shrimp, fish, beefheart, pellets??
