World Trade Center - Too Soon?

From what I have heard, the people making the movie had the actors that are playing actual people in the tragedy, go to the family's homes to talk to the family first. Apparently MOST of the families where ok with the idea, but not all of them.


That said, I still dont think that this movie should be released or even MADE yet. It hasnt even been 10 years. I personally think that the people that make these movies are just sitting at the edge of their seats, just waiting for stuff like this to happen and as soon as they do, they jump up and say "MINE, ITS MINE! I'VE GOT THIS ONE GUYS"

But this even is still way to fresh of a wound to be making Hollywood movies out of. I dont care how sensitive and careful they are, its a movie. Not a documentary on the news, its not on the History channel.


But whatever, i just am curious what other people think.

some people act like they forgot already what happened that day so im glad the movie is coming ot now. maybe it will open some more eyes.

i was underneath the path train ( world trade tower basement ) when the other tower was hit and i came out just in time to see the other plane hit the second tower. I think its a bit too soon to be made into a movie.

i thought that would be the end for me. I even saw a lady jump to her death. one of the 8 or so jumpers anyway.

i think its ok to make the movie people need to be reminded of this i think the world may have put this to the back of its mind.

Thats a good way of looking at it Dixon. However, i see it as hollywood using this as another summer disaster flick , trivializing the tragedy and making millions out of it. I just hope its a well made movie with actual facts and not just a summer popcorn flick .

exactly it needs to be factual and hard hitting and not dramatized in any way.
i watched the falling man documentary the other week and it made think about this again.
