how do you get one that sixe to eat!!!!!! My 4 inch Reticulated is showing just skin and bones and I haven't seen him eat in a while. He used to eat a lot.....but not lately
Check your thread. In a nutshell...check water parameters and blackworms.
I agree, try live blackworms. That's all my pups would eat for the first couple weeks. I then switched them to cut up earthworms. Make sure other tankmates aren't eating all the food before they get a chance to get some too.

The size of a newborn pup has many variables. It all depends on what type of ray you have and how big the mother is. How much you feed the female when she is pregnent and how many pups she has.
If you don't feed the female a lot of food when she is pregnent she will most likely have smaller weaker pups vs a very well fed female.
Also the amount matters, the more pups, the smaller they are to make room. Less pups, they can be of a bigger size.
Also a 26in+ otorongo ray will have bigger pups than a 12in histrix.
So there are a few factors in this.
If you narrow it down to the type of ray, it will be easier to give you an idea.

Good water quality, very very frequent water changes, for a new born like every day 50%. Also live blackworms are the best thing to get small rays on, as it will pack on the weight and they are hard for them to resist.
You also need to make sure tankmates aren't steeling the food from it.
