600g with 2 mag-drive 36 or 50- To Much?

Would 2 3600GPH or even 2 5000gph pumps be to much for my 600g? I have 2 2500gph pumps now and I would like more water movement.
I have 2 aro's and some catfish in there at the moment.

it would all depend on the dimension of the tank... the overflow box you have, IMO, i would go for two mag 36 using 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 pvc pipe to pump it up. here is a very helpful website to calculate your headloss so that you can see how much you're really pumping..

I have a mag 36 and 24 and the 36 is a true beast! i only use one on my big ray pond and man it is a lot of water!

How many gallons is your pond? Could you post some pics of the filtration set up?

The pumps are rated at the outlet. Actual flow will be substantially reduced once you take into account the amount of head (vertical lift) required and your return configuration.

if you can equally distribute that water flow through out the tank and not create enough turbulance to exaust the fish, then you are in good shape.
