GATF and well planted tank?

you will need to keep this in mind specifically because you are planning to have a planted tank. At night Plants suck up the o2 out of the water and can leave it o2 defficent. (this is what killed my tiger). So at night be sure to have some sort of airation running.

if i have to keep the ph at 7,5 i have to get the kh up to at least 20 to get plenty of co2 in the water. can they handle this? i have to large air pumps i can use at nigth to provide the 02 levels.

humm.. I dunno. I don't mess with my PH much. it comes out of the spout at about 7.6. And I had a power head that I used for air at night. Thats what I used to keep him alive. I do know the one night that I forgot to turn the air on. Was the last night of my ATF's life. :cry:

werry sad that you lost yours. i will use a timer so i dont forget to turn the air pumps on.
so, co2 at day time and 02 at night. that can maby work than!?
