So sorry for your loss, I agree that water changes should be done at a different time than filter cleaning.

That's very strange, I've had all night power cuts in this pov country, and the fish are absolutely fine, not even breathing hard. That's no airation, temp drop, no filtration etc all night.

My Aro's eyes are cleared up just a little. It's still a little cloudy. I checked the water and everything is fine pH, ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, etc. Yeah...it's really weird how my Adonis just died like that. I would've loved to see it hit that 1' mark at least. It was 9" I've always changed my water and cleaned the filter together and never had a problem until now. Now I know...and knowing is half the battle.
Nothing unusual happen prior to the waterchange. Like stated above a spike, let alone a fatal spike shouldn't have occured that quick...
Everything was normal. I have a live plant in there as well and it's leaves started to fall off. I just fed the fish right now and everyone is eating normal except for the Arowana. He's eating, just not as aggressively like he used to. Hopefully with time, his eyes will clear up.
