Damn.. Very nice pacu mom!!! We need you to start your own thread with this beast of a tank of yours w/ lots more of pix, pls!! How many gallons is that! The house renovation looks awesome also.. 1 thing I noticed on the blue print, is that the garage seems bigger than the house.. Lmao.. Only one thing comes to mind. FISH ROOM!!:headbang2

Tank is 15' x 4' x 4'. With the 400 gallon holding sump, we'll have 2,100+ gallons circulating. Plans do not show the house. It only shows part of a room that adjoins the new build. The wall will be knocked down to make the fish room even bigger and to make it part of the house. The fish room area is 32' x 20'. Since the tank is going to be inwall, that leaves us with 16', so am looking forward to knocking out the wall and opening things up! The new garage is huge--28' x 40'. My boat and truck are in a storage facility near Shasta Lake, 4 1/2 hours away. It will be nice to bring them home :)

Looks like you are in a nice peaceful area Pacu Mom.Does it snow there?

There's occasional freak snow every couple of years, where we rush and get the camera out! It rains a lot here.

I'm fortunate to live in one of the prettiest places in California. Sometimes we have to deal with bears and coons.

I'm a happy monster fishkeeper :) :) :)

WOW PACU MOM...... incredible. Are you looking to adopt? I'm potty trained and can feed myself. I don't need an extra room. I could just sleep in the fish room..

Well, if you less than 6' tall, you could sleep temporarily in the sump tank (6' x 3' x 3') ...... until we put it to use :)

Planning on doing a thread on my complete fish room build after it is completed. Over the last eleven months, I've posted several threads on the tank, my filtration, the stand build, the gate build, the plumbing, and there are pics of the build in different phases in all of them. This has been an agonizingly long, drawn out process, and we've got months to go yet. I've taken out my frustration by purchasing filtration stuff, as if that would speed things up!! Two ultima filters have been sitting in my exercise room for a year now. There are four ReeFlo pumps, three 1000 W heaters, two 120W UV sterilizers in my living room. Also in the living room are the cabinetry for the upstairs bathroom, and fifteen light fixtures for the new addition. If I buy any more stuff, we might have to move to a hotel... Since the electrical, walls, ceilings, floors have to be done yet, all the "stuff" would just be in the way, hence the living room storage. There is no one who wants this project completed more than me, except maybe my husband, who is doing all the work :)

Those pacu are going to look awesome when everything is set up!

And I know you need no telling, but I moved a 20" pacu without knocking her out first, and it was not pretty. I got tail slapped in the face, twice, and completely drenched. So break out the fish drugs and put 'em to sleep.

Can't wait to see your tank completed!

West coast wins hands down. We have Johnptc's largest private tank in the US I believe and 750 gallon tanks are a dime a dozen down here. Nice try East coast but you're not even close.
I know a few guys in north east area with tanks in the thousands. They do not go to fish forums and stay some what hidden.I am not sure why because i sure would show off giant tanks like they have. One friend has 4 niger cats over 4 feet in one tank and several 3.5 foot pacus in another.
