Sorry, I probably posted pics prematurely. I'm so excited to have the tank finally home. Didn't mean to tease, but that's all the pics of the tank. Notice the lack of walls, the blue tarp covering the opening the tank and stand came through, the stack of drywall. This is as far as we've gotten in over a year. I'm dying to see the tank too! Since September 2009, we tore down the garage, had 800 cubic yards of dirt removed, and started our DIY fishroom, new garage. Hampered by winter rains until June 2010, the build progress was very slow. Summer 3-day weekends at the lake didn't help either.

Here's the progression time line in our monster tank quest:

Aug 2009 - tank ordered
Sept 2009 Before picture

Dirt removal begins

Garage torn down

Dec 2009 engineer finally finishes the plans

Late Jan 2010 - finally get the building permit

Feb 2010 - the tank arrives at the storage facility. For nearly a year, this is the only picture that I had

June/July 2010 rains stopped, the roof was put on.

A week ago, the build had progressed to the point that the stand (built 4/10) was finally moved in.

2 days ago the tank finally came home. Now we can finally finish enclosing the build. Then all the inside work will have to be done..electrical wiring completed, drywall, etc.

So in 16 months, we went from this

To this

In August 2009, I was naive enough to think it would all be done by Christmas 2009! We still have a long long way to go, but we are progressing slowly.
