You know, I LOVE this tank, but it ruins it for me a little bit to see such a nice biotope dedicated to beautiful discus and then see some down-under dopey looking rainbowfish swim in to frame. Other than that, looks great. :)

How bout a small pleco? Would probably look cool with all the wood, and keep it nice and clean (depending on the species).

My first real video shot with my Nikon D90. Video quality is pretty bad as my tank is dimly lit. I'm also still learning how to nail the manual focus, can be pretty tricky! The video is 720p but I don't know why it only gives you the option to go up to 420p

If anything, at least turn up the volume and enjoy the cool song :D

How you liking the D90? I think im going to pull the trigger one one very soon. Tank looks awesome as well!!

wish i had ocd too.. thats the best discus tank ever!!!!!!!
ps sorry to not read every post, but whered u get the beautiful discus?

Jose, that's an awesome tank you have..compliments.
You've about convinced me to go ahead building my first monster tank for discus.
Tank was planned, but was not sure about going big like arowana or smaller like angel/discus or even neon/cardinals.
This does it, no biggies, only medium or small.

Thanks! And that sounds like a neat setup, can't wait to see it. Shoot me the link when you have it up and running.

Keep up the great work! Every time I think about going to puffer tanks only I see your work and get reminded how nice biotopes and planted tanks can be. I then start to like my own SA tank more.

Thanks! Biotopes are awesome. So relaxing to just sit back and watch all the fish interact. One of these days I'll remove all the non-native fish and go for a true biotope :)

U have a near to dream tank...

Thanks!

Trust me, I agree with you! Those rainbows just clash with the other fish in the tank. I wouldn't have put them in, but I had no where to put them when I tore down the 57g and moved all the fish over. So now that they're in there, there's no way I can catch them. One of these days I'll get them out :)

It's a fantastic camera! I was going to upgrade to the D700 (full frame) but I had a change of heart. Decided to keep learning with this camera, especially portrait and off-camera lighting. The pics speak for themselves, this is a pretty serious camera even though the model is several years old. If it's within your budget, go for the D90s replacement; the D7000. Has all the bells and whistles of the D90 and then some.

Thanks! The discus came from John (Snookn21). He's a vendor here on MFK.

wanna come redo my sump for me? thats some pr0 leet stuff! no really u can come over and redo my whle sump for me, dont worry beers are on me! :D:D

Found a pleasant surprise today while doing a water change. No wonder these two angels have been so aggressive towards other fish! Let's see if any of them actually survive. It was hard to get good pics since there was driftwood all over, and couldn't get good lighting over them. Enjoy!
