So far, nothing is growing in this tank but fish. I would not mind a little algae but I think my lights are a little underpowered.

I would leave them on for 12 hrs a day and just keep the glass clean, they LOVE it.

Thanks for the explanations. I will go with NLS as my favorite LFS carries it.

I feed all my algae eating fish HBH Spirulina flake. I buy it from John at Jehmco.com. in a large bag, they also get frozen daphnia it helps to keep them regular and ward off bloat. They will also get NLS spectrum reg and thera mixed 1mm pellet
