Hey guys i was thinking of maybe some small tankmates to go along with my Motoro pup and Jardini pup. I was thinking of mabe a RTC, or a datnoid or some discus. What do you guys think. Right know they are in a 100 gallon grow out tank. I want something sort of calm and is sort of in the middle. I don't mind bottom fish though like a cat. My budget is up to 80 dollars for a new fish. The water is also very good so also try to add some good fish that can handle a really big WC. Temp is 82 degrees

i'd keep them alone for now in a 100 gal. that's not alot of room for fish that will grow to be quite big, very rapidluy. once they've been moved into something larger, then i'd look into fish that might coexist with them.

once you have the room, i've heard of success and horror stories with all of those combos, depends on the attitudes of your fish.

kk um the motoro is a really calm and won't hurt anything and the Jar is more aggresive, he tries to attack the stingray when he goes up and swim around.

kk thanks guys i will just wait, until the 220 comes in. That is big enough right? Or still too small going to order soon so i need a quick answer.

Well, the rays and RTC will both outgrow the 220 and at a good rate. You'd have to upgrade when they were about 1 -2 years old depending on growth rates. I would get a smaller catfish, such as a tigrinis or jurunese.

Ik the RTC would grow out but never knew the ray would :( sad. Oh well so wat about a 320? Found one on craigslist for 550 dollars, with 1 filter and 1 heater. I have 2 heaters right know that i could transport and also 2 40-60 gallon filters. The one the lady has was a 100 gallon filter (which i somehow never found before.)

Bigger is better. You have been given solid advice. My aro bothered my rays to the point i had to buy a pond for the rays. Now he bullies the dats i got him. Looks like its a life of being alone.

Depends entirely on dimensions. If the 320 is 3' wide you could get away with it for a while. a 4' tank is ideal. My rays are growing up in a 3' tank, and eventually will move to a 10'x10' pond with my catfish. They will not move until they are getting too big.

A 320 will be better than what you originally planned anyway, so I'd grab that.
