Hi everyone, this is my first FH and i love him! I dont see many FH's up here in Alaska nonetheless nice looking ones. He is 3.5-4" and i couldnt help myself, he was in a 20g at the lfs with 15 other fh's about the same size and one of them was all beat to hell and they were treating the tank because the one that was beat up had flesh missing where the eye spots are supposed to be above the head. needless to say they wouldnt sell him to me because the tank was being treated with salt and mela-fix :ROFL: I told them he would be better off with me anyway otherwise your gonna loose the lot of them. well they wouldnt sell him so they gave him to me for FREE! lol

So my question is how do i tell which kind of FH he is? if thats possible and what do i look for as a general rule of thumb to determine which FH is which? and thank you. here is a lil video, its not the best but he has a nice amount of red on his body covered in blue spangles making him look almost purple, his eyes are bright red like a trimac and his markings are similiar to a trimac as well.

OK thanks:) i will begin my researching so i know what to look forward to. also for future reference is there a post or thread anywhere explaining how to determine which kind of Fh they are?

Thank you very much for that link, it did help me out alot. I have always love FH's but just didnt have the money when i first started in the hobby to afford the ones i liked and when i did have coin for them my tanks were already spoken for:( I would also like to get a couple SRT's. but for now ill be patient like ive always had been and i will keep this guy as my starter FH and go from there. I just had a good friend come back from Tailand with some srt's, i should have seen if he could have grabbed some good quality FH's while he was there. Well thank you again for the info and the link, I will now be coming over to the dark side;) from time to time as my new obsession for FH's grow lol and i will check out Flowerhorncraze.com

lol well im not giving up my current stock, just going to espand into FH's:)

Indeed a Red Dragon. Typically better than what you see from a local store so nice little pickup.

Thank you bro:) that was the biggest reason i grabbed him. i have seen plenty flow thru the lfs's around here just nothing nice.

thats not a red dragon! could be diamond, look pretty close to the queen diamond from Vietnam!
