Ok here is th deal. I have never owned one before but have always wanted to. So I ordered two of them an ornate and a. Wc delhezi I believe. Now I'm not sure I deleted the email. But I read they come from soft water, but they addapt well to dif types of water. Well my water has a very high ph.
What is the best way to acclimate them. I can't really lower the ph in my main tank. But I have a smaller tank but it has gravel in it and has a small oscar and arowanna that I could move and use bottled water to bring the ph down. Or should I just go straight to my hard water.
Part two. Should I do a drip or float the bag while slowly adding tank water? Or just put them right into the tank when they arrive.
oh yea I forgot both bichirs are supposed to be around 7-8" and my main tank is a standard 125 and the smaller tank is a 28 gallon bowfront.
