So, I currently own a 8'' Silver Arrowana. The fish is in a 150 Gallon Aquarium with some smaller fish (mainly barbs and such) that don't bother it at all. Earlier today, I noticed a few symptoms on the fish that I hadn't before. To my knowledge there hasn't been a significant change to the fish's environment recently. All of my levels are acceptable or better. Here is a more detailed explanation of the symptoms.
Along the side of the fish running from the back of the gils to near the end of the tail the fish has a green streak. It almost has the look of mold as it is opaque and does not reflect. It's about 1/4'' tall running most of the length of the fish. Any idea of what this might be?
The other symptom looks like a sore of an ulcer. The fish has them just behind the gils and they almost look like gils. They're very red and pronounced and exist on both sides of the tank.
Lastly, I noticed one last thing. The fish's eyes are a bit red, almost bloodshot looking.
I'm still educating myself about the fish so I'm not familiar with these symptoms, are they normal? I feel like maybe the fish's diet or something might be to blame. He gets a mix of bloodworms, raw cocktail shrimp, and aquarium grade frozen shrimp.
Any input would be helpful. However, if you're the kind of poster who simply looks to insult and grill people because they're supposedly inferior to your knowledge, need not reply.
Thanks.
