I need Jaguar Cichlid References

I was think that it is a female.

No, I haven't- and that's simply because I don't want to kill her.

Be careful, and have that divider ready. It's always better to buy a group of young fish and grow them out together and let them pair off naturally. Sometimes forced pairing works out well, and sometimes it ends in bloody murder. Also, if you're looking to breed CA cichlids, I would try to get the highest quality fish you can get from cichlid specialists... it will help you sell the fry and you will know you're doing something to get high quality fish in the hobby, not some F100000000 fish you buy at the LFS.

I know this jag didn't come from a pet store, and that's because the woman the originally owned it lived in my area.. none of the stores in my area go out of their normal range of fish. As far as getting fish from cichlid specialists, I think the fish I have are very nice quality, I just need to find their mate. I am just going to be looking for good specimens, as I am planning on making good quality fish, and I don't think a breeders name should determine that. Now, do I think Rapps has better fish than petco? Of course, but if I see a show stopper or a fish I think had potential at petco, that's not going to stop me..

Another thing about forced breeding.. I can't really force breed a fish when I don't know what sex fish to put in with it.
