update: day 2.5 and some off the eggs are wiggling and suprisingly none of them died. unless the parents took them out but there looks to be the same amount of eggs since they laid them.

hi, im new to this forum... but i just saw this post and read the replies and i was wondering if any male and female convict would breed in 10 gallon tank? I was thinking of getting a small tank 10-20 gallons , heavily planted and i want to start breeding but are convicts a good beginner fish to breed?

Yes, cons definitely aren't picky; they will breed everywhere and anywhere. But as was suggested here, I would seriously re-consider upping that 10 gallon to a 20 or 30. A 10 gallon isn't much better living conditions then an LFS tank.
