If you pull them out, don't forget the ruler and soda can. Thanks all, when I get back from vacation in a few weeks I will try to get some current shots of the different poly's that are not visible in the FTS. I am debating about whether or not to pull them all out of the tank when I change over the substrate and install the background( it secures with magnets) If so I should get some nice shots of them in the staging totes.
Very nice polys, and the tank looks nice as well. My weeksii has been growing very slow lately, so I'm definitely jealous of yours. Just out of curiosity, what do you feed them/what's your feeding schedule like?
Awesome Bichirs and setup!
Keep up the good work for team Canada!![]()
Thanks, my Weeksii has actually been the fastest growing bichir I have had. I got it at 9" and it hit 16" within 6-7 months and a year later is around the 21" mark. I will have to get a clean measurement when I take them out. I got it taped at 20" a whild back but since has not "posed" for me. I have taped my ornate at 22' and it appears there is only a 1 inch gap when the two are nose to nose. The weeksii does have greater body mass now. Feeding schedule is 6 days a week, always at lights out. Smelt, beef heart and massivore are the current staples with amphibian meat once a week. (frog legs )
