7'x12' 1400 Gallon Plywood Stingray Pond

Could always climate control the room to for the winters. I had a real battle keeping the 2 tanks in my garage warm with the -16 degree days we had this last winter. In the end I had 3 1000W heaters running in my 1200G pond and 2 1000W and a 300W on my 6x6 tank to keep them warm. The AC unit i got also works as a heater so I can keep it warm in there next winter.

Sounds like a nice setup you got planned.

Ya, I thought about climate controlling the temp in the basement also. I have 4 windows in the basement, but they are two small to put units in. A rolling ac/heat system may work also. Being the walls of the basement are all solid concrete, wouldnt be to high on the elec bill.

The pond set up we have in mind, if I have it figured rt would be just under 1400 gallons.
I attached a pic of the idea I have in mind. Then we would dress the front of the entire thing in nice stone for looks with a stone ledge around the entire thing. Going to use pond filters on each corner (want to do a water fall affect and the pond filters I have will solve both filtering and also give me the waterfall affect I want)

Have been working on this for some time, buying pieces here and there. Aleady have the ponds, filters, heaters, wood i need and most of the plumbing. So still will need to design the channel system and pick up other items to get the project started. I like the channel system since it will allow the rays to go from pond to pond and will add to the look.

Making progress, almost ready to fill. I got the 2 tables built, painted, and coated in resin. The 65G and 75G aquariums are in place and I cut holes in the tables for there overflows already. I got 2 of the 4 bio ball towers i am going to be putting on the rear table, haven't cut the holes for there returns yet.

My aquabead also came in today, going to start working on plumbing tomorrow.

Looks good. Looks like it will be up and running soon.

No depending how long the plumbing takes I will either be doing a test filling tomorrow or sunday.

got my fingers crossed for you! no leaks!

Nah been to busy to work on it as much as I would like. Got the aquabead all plumbed in and the 3 bio ball towers completed yesterday. I am going to work on the aeration system tonight, securing 10 air discs down with resin so the don't float everywhere, and securing the lines. Also need to install 3 2x4 braces. Going to get that done tonight and then clean it out and do a test fill Thursday.
