The bass pro by me has one that's about 25-26 inches. Soooo I vote yes. But that also depends if you plan on housing him in a 55 gallon tank or something.

You shouldnt think of getting one unless you have a minimum of 180 gallons ready for it, and in that size of a tank I vote no it would not max out. Many fish kept in captivity dont get to be their max size but it depends on how big of a tank you would be giving it

Thanks, the 250 gallon pond has two section a 3x2 bottom and a 6x4 upper section.
Its got a 20 gallon DIY filter and the bass would be the only fish in it. The only thing is we have winters below freezing and summers in the 90's. They are native here so I think it would be ok.
