you guys dont realize how lucky you are to have sunfish species........ most of canada has little to no sunfish... the only sunfish we have here is rockbass... and thats isolated to one lake a bit of a river... i'd love to have bluegil, pumkinseed, etc... well im stuck with yellow perch and minnows for now lol..
 
No, but you have all sorts of lunker game fish....and they even let you spear them in some places! :D

Pumpkinseeds are found farther north than any other sunfish, they are definitely in Canada.
 
Yeah they have pumpkinseeds in Manitoba. but the only sunfish we have in Saskatchewan is the rock bass (which i have to travel 5 hours to attempt to catch) and thats located in a portion of river and a couple lakes. only the southern sections of manitoba and ontario have alot of sunfish, other then that is pretty sparse
