Florida gars dont usually eat each other..i have a 16" gar with a 4" one, hopefully your gar heals up. The best advice you will get is from solomon. If he says its difficult for the gar to have a turn around than thats what it might be.

i'll try to hand feed it next time. i feed it tonight, it had a hard time getting its food. i had to drop it several times in front of it till he got it. took a closer look and noticed it mouth/beak slightly shifted
. dosn't look good
